How we execute
We do not own ships. We own the contract.
Worth being plain about, because the companies that are vague here are vague for a reason.
- JCi sources and oversees. Finding it, pricing it, screening the supplier, structuring the payment, and standing over the shipment until it is signed for — that is us, on every mandate.
- The freight is run with partner shippers and exporters. A network built over 18 years. Lou Mamaou books Grimaldi RoRo on the West Africa routes when the schedule and the cargo suit it; other lanes, other partners.
- One contract, regardless. You are not handed to a forwarder in week six and told to take it up with them. If a partner drops the box, it is still our name on the paper.
- That is why the inland legs work. Tema to Ouagadougou is not a shipping line’s problem. It is ours, and we have been solving it since 2010.
Before you send anything
Four answers turn a wish into a quote.
Most enquiries stall because one of these is missing. If you have all four, we can usually give an indicative landed cost within five business days.
01
Quantity or capacity
Units, tonnes per hour, megawatts, hectares, gross tonnage. A number, even a rough one, beats an adjective.
02
Destination
Port, city or site. Duty, inland freight and clearance can move a landed cost by 30% between two towns in the same country.
03
Date it must work by
Not when you'd like it — when the contract, harvest or grid connection actually needs it running.
04
What's already fixed
A specified brand, a standard, a lender's condition, a tender clause. Tell us the constraints and we'll work inside them.
Missing some of it? Send it anyway. Working out the rest is stage one of the mandate.
